Kenny Roger's Tangy Chicken Pasta

Not sure whether you guys have tasted this before, but it has been in the menu for quite sometime already.. and I kinda like it... It's pasta top with a sweet sour sauce, one side-dish of your choice and a quarter chicken (black pepper/original), I usually go for blackpepper.. Yummy.. hehehe... Cost RM18.50This is the four season drink.. Since this was my dinner on Sunday nite and there was a Xmas performance in CS, so I chose Winter as my drink hopefully matching the atmosphere there... But then, you noticed the pink color? hahaha.. it's supposed to be white as in Vanilla icecream in it.. but they ran out of vanilla icecream, so they gave me Strawberry instead.. haha... Cost: Rm5.50... Yea, I know it's a little expensive... Eat once in a blue moon lor.. haha... I haven't ate Kenny Rogers for the past 2 years ady anyway... hahaha.... Good place to go... Nice chicken!!!

Green Tea Ice Cream

RM2.50 in Jusco Tebrau City. Taste quite good if you like green tea. The only thing is the ice cream maker wasn't working very well as the ice cream wasn't really solid, it's a little too soft. Nonetheless, still a good thing to try out. Rather popular I must say, everyone was eating, including old aunties and grannies. hehehe...

Last friday, Bro brought me to Uncle Seng's Noodle shop. I had a go with the Shredded Chicken Noodle. Well, I must say that the noodle is very tasty as they are handmade by their shop, so you can't find them elsewhere... This is a must try is you are at Subang Taylor University College... The noodle gets a 4 out of 5 stars from Teddy!!! hahaha..

CNY Meals...

I'm gonna show you some typical CNY dishes that we, the chinese normally take during CNY!!!! Wooo woooo....... What is this?! Anyone knows? Yes, it's sharkfin soup, but then, it is vegetarian... Since I'm Buddhist, so I can only take vegetarian meals on the first day of CNY...
What's this? "Lou Sang"... Vegetarian also!!! Hehehe...
I'm suppose to take all the dishes photo, but then I forgot after eating the first two dish, when i remembered, almost all gone liao.. Paiseh....

OK, 2nd day ady!!! Now can eat some real stuff... Woo woo... this is the real "lou sang", same as the vegetarian one but with fresh raw fish & abalone slices!!!! Yum Yum.... the sweet sour sauce is real appetizing!!!!!!! hehehehe...
The real sharkfin soup... There are a lot of crab meat inside, a slice of abalone and sharkfin lor... but then, I'm not sure whether the sharkfin is real or not, because there are many restaurants now selling fake (vegetarian) sharkfin as the real thing is too expensive...
This is 猪脚... Oh, recent research finds that this dish is anti-cancer!!! But don't eat too much, it will cause heart problems... hehehe.. too much fat mar....
This year got oyster also... Hehe... yummy....Yee Min... served with baby lobster.... The brown sticks are lobster legs...
How can you not eat crab during CNY!!! hehee.. My favorite sweet sour crab!!!

Hehehe... Lou too many Sang liao....

Steamed fish... This is a freaking expensive fish called "Soon Hok" or 顺福... Very fresh...

ZenXin Organic Farm at Ayer Hitam Highway Exit

Dragonfruit Trees, so many...
At the back got fish ponds, so you can actually enjoy steamboat here...
Brown Soya Bean Juice...

Food I saw today...

铁蛋!!哈哈。。台湾土产。。不知道要如何形容,口感真的很不同。。外层很像塑胶酱,哈哈。。但是整体的味道真的很像猪肉丝!!!真的。。没骗你们哦!!去试一试吧!!!!
My humble lunch today "wan tan min"... Actually wanted to eat Penang Laksa, but that auntie din open stall, broke my heart... the drink is Sour Plum Lemonade... I think the best ever Wan Tan Min is in Ampang old pasar.. real nice... the noodle is crunchy yet soft and taste good.. This wantan min in Setia Indah is just those normal wan.. nothing special... but if u still wana have a nice wan tan min, i guess the second best to the one in Ampang, is in Austin Food Court... at the factory area just before Tmn Daya....

OH MY GOD!! Look at the cheese, black black wan, can eat ah?! How to eat? Eat the black stuff together...?

Old Town

Went to Old Town during the 1st day of CNY to have a tea break with my uncle & aunt & cousins.

Wow, the Old Town in KL got a very very long list of dishes not like the Old Town in Jusco TC.

Anyway, I wasn't hungry, so I ordered a Chinese Red Tea and a BlueBerry Icecream.

The read tea was normal, nothing much to say about it.

The ice cream, hmm.... The blueberry topping taste normal too, but the good thing is it is not too sour, but I've a feeling that it's just those ordinary already-made type of blueberry in a can that you can get from supermarket. The vanilla ice cream does taste nice. The only down part of it is you can actually feel ice crystal within the ice cream. The freezer temperature must be very low to cause ice crystal formation within the icecream. I think they should increase the temperature of the freezer a bit, so that the ice cream is smoother.Ratings: Out of 10 marks
Food: 8 marks
Customer service: 7 marks
Price: 8 marks
Ambience: 8
Decoration: 7 marks
Overall: 7.5 marks

Anyway, Old Town is rather a good place for rather reasonably priced food (depends on what you order) and for catching up with family and friends. Not suitable for dating though, coz there are lots of people, just like the old fashion Kopitiam with a little class to it... People talk loud loud, laugh loud loud.. hehe...

Tea Break with krOx & Chien

Went out to sing and movie with Chien, krOx & Xing few weeks back... After the movie, Xing went home, but ChangChang, Chien & I went for tea break at a chinese restaurant in Jusco TC... I forgot the name of the restaurant, doesn't matter though coz the restaurant is FORGETABLE!!!!!!!

Nice view if you get to sit near the window... Can look out to Johor Jaya...
Their food preparation counter... Of wana know something funny: Chien kept staring at a guy in the counter, the assistant chef i think, or maybe the kaki preparing the food.. whoever laa, n she loudly said "Eh, look look, while pointing at him, I thought he is Han Ley"... Btw, I think Chien eye got stamp lor, maybe the height of the guy and body frame is somewhat similar to Ley and his specs is the exact style, but then the facial features really not same lor... sigh... Coz of her commotion, the guy stared back at her, but she kept on staring and pointing at him saying "U look carefully, he really look like Han Ley"... LOL!!!!!!!!
I ordered this, duno wat name ady... Stewed Chicken Roasted Pork Rice I think... Anyway... it is a set meal... meaning there is this (the main course; see pic), a drink (Ice Lemon Tea) and Desert... This is what disappointed me.. Why?! They gave me the main course, so I was eating eating, then I wana have my drink, but they never gave me, so I called the waitress who served us the dishes, asking where is my drink coz it is a SET MEAL!!! Then she went back to discuss with 3 other waitress!!! OMG!!! It's just a freaking set meal, so common sense states, she is suppose to give me my drink... DISCUSS WHAT?! No common sense!!!! DEDUCT MARKS!!!!!!
Then eat eat eat finish liao.... Then I wait wait... wait for what?! DESERT LOR!!!!! Really beh ta han... the desert oso din come!!! Aiyoooo who the hell train u all de laaa!!!! When customer order set meal, u all must be vigilant mar!!!! If customer finish eating one course, then quick quick send the second course lor... sigh!!!!!!! Then I called a waiter REMINDING, I ORDERED A SET MEAL!!! SO.... MAIN COURSE FINISH LOR!!! ANYTHING NEXT?! I think got desert one... but do you see it on my table?!
Then the guy hor... aiyooo.... shaking head... Mong Cha Cha *Cantonese = Blur Blur*... Walk here walk there, looking for desert pulak... sigh... DEDUCT MARKS!!!!!
Assessment time: (Out of 10)
Customer Service: - 10 (YES YES YES, It is a NEGATIVE!!!!) The negative marks is not only due to the multiple mistakes they did with my SET MEAL!!! they even gave krOx the wrong utensils, n they served everything at the wrong place, my rice was left in front of Chien while Chien's noodle was left in front of ChangChang... OMG!!!! What kind of service is this?!?!
Atmosphere: 5 (I think i gave 5 becoz ChangChang n Chien was there, if not maybe lower)
Decoration: 6
Food: 2
Price: 2 (Not expensive, but the food taste so so only, doesn't require that price I think)
Overall: One Star... (I think half a star is more accurate) Since I forgot the name of the shop, u all remember the 2nd pic (above), if u go in c that kind of setting n c someone that looks like Han Ley, then quick quick walk out... hehehe.... LOL~~~

Restoran Ibrahim Maju

If you are in Kajang area, you can go to this mamak restaurant. The offer a variety of dishes including mixed rice and roti canai.

I took the mixed rice. Look at the chicken above!! It is twice the size of chicken you can get when eating at other mixed rice shops and the amount of rice given. The TOTAL = RM5.50 only...

The taste is rather good, price is rather reasonable also considering the portion of serving they give.

All in all, can go eat laa, if you want to fill up your tummy with nice food.. hehehe... cya...

Food & Tea @ Jusco Tebrau City

Today, I went to Food & Tea in Tebrau City with Sherwynd, Dan, Xavier, Zhemin & Joanne. I ordered a set dish consisting of Roasted Honey Chicken Fried Rice, Red Tea, Sweet Corn Crab Meat Soup & a scoop of ice cream which cost RM11.00. The rest of the gang ordered things like noodle, pork chop fried rice, a chocolate cake, etc. Each of them spending an average of RM8.00 to RM13.00.

Since I did not taste the rest, I shall only review on the dishes I had. Let's start with the Sweet Corn Crab Meat Soup. Frankly, it failed my tastebuds. It tasted like a can of corn soup diluted with lots of sky juice topped with a few threads of crab meat.

Red tea was nice. Taste real good. Maybe it was becoz I like chinese tea, and sweet ones. Some people may say sugar or honey should only go with western teas, but then, I really like sweetened chinese tea. I guess I can accept some east meets west concepts when it comes to food. The rest of the gang ordered a blue blue drink which has a mint taste. They din hav much complaint bout it. Zhemin seemed to hav enjoyed his cup of coffee.

The desert which was what Dan describe as a one mouth 'ngam!' portion of vanilla ice cream was kind of small. And there is nothing special about the vanilla flavor of it. So totally forgetable.

Now, the main dish, the Roasted Honey Chicken Fried Rice. I like roasted stuff, so I guess this dish did catch my attention a bit. The roasted honey chicken did taste nice. But the rice was just any ordinary rice flavoured with some sauce (I'm guessing the sauce consist of soy sauce and sesame oil as main ingredient).

The price was reasonable for the set as it does fill in your tummy. The fried rice ordered by Joanne was GIGANTIC!!! No kidding guys. It was so big that I myself may had some problem finishing it. She didn't comment much bout it though. The noodle soup ordered by Dan was some what bland and watery.

The interior design of the outlet was nice and comfy. Dim lites give you some soothing environment for you to get away from the hectic life. Suitable for families and friends to have a break, do some catching up.

Each of us got 3 different menus, one big book, one small book and one A3 size menu. Sigh... Going thru all of them is a hassle. Collecting the menus after we ordered was a big problem for the waitress. LOL!!!!

Ratings: (On a scale of 10)
Food: 4
Service:4
(They don't smile much, don't even bother to ask who ordered what while serving, just left the dishes at one corner for us to distribute ourselves; too many menus, why can't they combine it to one)
Decoration/Environment: 7
Atmosphere for dating: 3
Price: 7
= Overall: 5

PS: Ley, I think we should have a standard rating system that all of us use to avoid ambiguity.
